Moshe David Sharabani

Director of History & Researcher of Sephardic Heritage

Moshe David Sharabani is a historian and researcher specializing in the heritage of Sephardic and Mizrahi Jewry. He is the author of "Aderet HaRishon LeZion," ("אדרת הראשון לציון") a unique historical study chronicling 2,000 years of Sephardic public leadership and community life.

As the Director of History for this initiative, Moshe leads the historical research and documentation work. His work is built upon years of extensive data collection and the analysis of primary sources related to Eastern Jewish communities. Moshe is dedicated to preserving the legacy of Sephardic leadership and ensuring this rich history is accurately documented and shared with the global Jewish community, with a special focus on making this knowledge accessible and engaging for the younger generation.

Ron Kopels graduated from The Cooper Union in 1981. He received a Fullbright Fellowship to conduct research in Florence, Italy in 1982. He was then invited to work for Sottsas Associates in Milan. Upon returning to New York in 1985, he became a Project Architect at Butler Rogers Basket Architects and served as a Partner at Arc Development. For these offices, Mr. Kopels completed a variety of restaurant designs and office renovations.

Ron Kopels formed the Ron Kopels Studio in 1990. Since its founding, the studio has completed over sixty institutional, residential and commercial projects. The office is currently comprised of Mr. Kopels and four Associates,: Jon DiBasci, Sonia Rossi, Juneblue Park, and Samariah Caldwell. This highly experienced team of architechts will lead the renovation designs.
